The GEN UC (Part# GENUC) is a microprocessor based, digital communicating controller designed to communicate, and control standalone G/E or HP units, either RTU or spilt type systems remotely over the internet. The GEN UC can communicate & control up to 20 SATouchX thermostats and supports “ADR” (Automated Demand Response). Communications hub is APP based and accessed via mobile phone, tablets, or the internet.

The GEN UC is expandable using up to 20 add-on GEN UC-RM controllers that are daisy chained together via the (RS485) communications loop.

Each GEN UC RM supports up to 20 additional standalone units providing support and control of up to 400 thermostats in an expanded system.

The SATouchX thermostat is a universal multi-stage standalone communicating thermostat for direct control of Gas Electric and Heat Pump systems. The SATouchX is hard wired to the unit and communicates back to the GEN UC via the RS-485 communication link. Each SATouchX is equipped with Return Air/Supply Air and relative humidity sensors, these sensors are for informational purposes only.

The GEN UC is powered with one 24V 100VA transformer, which also powers all the SATouchX thermostats. Power from the controller, along with a 2- wire plenum rated twisted pair communications wire, is daisy chained from SATouchX to SATouchX to streamline installation and system communications
